| Cambridge Research Park
This new Research Park was created on the site of ‘Landbeach Marina’ which had formerly been a quarry, and subsequently a council rubbish tip before becoming a holiday camp.
The Research Park master plan required significant engineering works. The site was completely remediated and reshaped through utilisation of Kimmeridge clay on the site to simultaneously create new development platforms and a new natural waste cell for the contaminated material. This then allowed a new roundabout on the A10 and the first phase of infrastructure, together with 83,000 ft² of offices for ntl and Diomed to be built.
The Research Park was sold to Slough Estates in 2000. |
